I've just finished teaching 8 sessions of Saturday morning Mindful poetry for VI people. This course linked poetry and mindfulness together. The aim was for one subject to help deepen practice of the other. Students found this a rewarding experience and with reports rolling in of how much they learnt and enjoyed it, I've decided to run a 2 day summer workshop (see below).
Student testimony from Mindful poetry:
'Beverley created a Saturday morning sanctuary for us that offered reflection, re- connection and re-creation, all powered from her valuable lived experience'.
'The variety and difference between form, theme, language and the effect of choosing one or the other as vehicle for what I want to express ... With the examples and the exercise and suggestions, I really got a broader perspective and will certainly try out different forms, topics and combinations. It was so inspiring. and how to choose one as a vehicle for and freedom'
I hope you can join me!
